State Director – Miss Volunteer Louisiana

Born and raised in Minden, Louisiana, Kayla Rodriguez knows firsthand the impact a strong pageant system can have on a young woman’s life. She spent over a decade competing in pageants, proudly holding titles like Miss Minden, Miss Acadiana, and Holiday in Dixie Teen Princess. But for Kayla, the crown was never the most important part—it was the people. The coaches, directors, and lifelong friends she made helped shape her into who she is today, and they taught her that her worth wasn’t tied to a placement or title. That’s the heart she now brings to Miss Louisiana Volunteer.

Kayla’s passion is to create a system where every girl feels seen, heard, and valued, not just the winners. She believes the real win is the growth that happens in the process: the confidence gained, the story discovered, and the courage to own it. Through Miss Louisiana Volunteer, she hopes to create a space where young women feel deeply supported and are equipped with the life skills that will serve them long after the stage lights dim.

She began sharing her journey into motherhood after the birth of her first child, which opened the door to a growing Instagram community. It was there that Kayla discovered the power of storytelling, and how much healing, purpose, and connection come from simply sharing your truth. She now teaches others how to build personal brands, grow digital income, and use their own stories to make a difference. Kayla firmly believes that we are all called to help someone—and the way we do that is by sharing our story.

Her background in dance and entrepreneurship taught her resilience early on. While competing in Miss Louisiana, she opened a small dance studio to help pay for pageants—teaching tiny dancers and learning the power of hustle and heart. Later, she turned a love for crafting into a sign manufacturing business that grew into a brand featured in HomeGoods and over 100 small businesses and boutiques. Eventually, she shifted into a more flexible, purpose-driven path—building a social media following of over 100,000 by simply sharing her story and helping others do the same.

Kayla is married and a proud mom of two. She’s deeply involved in her local Junior Service League, where she led “Girls Night Out,” helping raise over $50,000 in scholarship funds in a two year span. While competing in Miss Louisiana, she was awarded the Miracle Maker Award after raising over $4,000 for Children’s Miracle Network.

Now as State Director, she brings a full heart, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a deep belief that every girl has a story worth telling—and she can’t wait to help them tell it.
